This is a 1982 VW Rabbit Pickup Diesel.
It hasn’t run or been registered since 1997. That means it is a project and must be towed. It has been stored indoors for most of that time and is currently inside my indoor storage.
The engine is a 1.6 Diesel. I don’t know any history on the engine, and the hood is stuck shut so I haven’t been able to look at it.
Body and bed a very straight and solid with minimal specs of surface rust scattered around the bed. The passenger side of the bed does have some dents, see pics. Paint color is rare Burnished Gold Metallic.
Tires are older but hold air to move it around, and are on scirocco sport wheels. Seats dash and interior and pretty clean. Overall it is a pretty clean truck that would make a good project. Or use for parts. The front bumper is not on the truck but it is in the bed.
There is no Title, you’ll get a Bill of Sale. If you know what you’re doing with DMV, it shouldn’t be any trouble to register. And remember, no smog needed.
