Description: I am selling my project VW caddy. White color with white rims. 1.6L Diesel Engine runs strong (approx 80,000-85,000 miles) and is from a 1987 vw jetta. It fires right up. I replaced the fuel lines with ones that can run bio-diesel. The transmission is a working transmission (however it isn’t hooked up; i.e. you can’t shift from 1st to 2nd from inside the cab); it also does leak. I think a seal is bad and I don’t have the time to drop the engine and transmission to check. I replaced the seats with ones form a 1987 jetta. The Dash is cracked, and there is no carpet. I took it out cause it needed to be replaced. I have some sound deadener to spray before putting carpet down. This is a project car and you will need to tow it away. This will get you between 40-55mpg. These engines last a long long time. You DO NOT HAVE TO SMOG THIS VEHICLE.
