1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Truck
1.6 diesel engine
4 speed manual transmission.
Odometer reads 185k but it doesnt WORK
It is VERY RUSTY – passenger side strut tower is rusted out.
Start – runs and drives – Just drove it 50 miles delivering an ENGINE last week.
The tailgate is included but the latch is broke so it wont close so i just took it off.
The gear shift linkage is TRICKY and sloppy. But you get used to it.
It smokes white smoke at start up.
Will do 70 MPH..
Gas gauge does NOT WORK – Odometer does NOT work – Speedometer and coolant temp gauge DO WORK
I bought this as a donor car for another truck that i SOLD today. So this running driving truck can be put to work for you to DO WORK until the rust makes it fall in half.
