1982 VW TD Pickup with 5SPD

147938 on Odometer ~105000 on engine
Engine swapped from a wrecked ~96 Passat AAZ engine Odometer with 80K on the engine at time of swap
purchased in 2012 from previous owner and driven about 25K since then
Transmission is FN 5-spd

Bought this about ten years ago, in North Georgia. I did a couple of state highway trips to Arkansas and some occasional light hauling around town. It has been continuously registered and driven a few times a month. Would like to pass this along to someone that could have a bit more fun with it.

Recently replaced:
Master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders
rear drum brakes and wheel bearings
left and right parking brake
glow plugs were changed in 2019

Recently removed and cleaned fuel tank
In line fuel filter in place to check for sediment and replace as necessary. Runs much better after cleaning the tank.

AC equipped but no compressor
Minimal rust

Windshield washer fluid container has a hole in it.

The key switch went out, haven’t had a chance to pull it, but a new one can be started with flat head screwdriver (included)
