1981 Diesel Caddy Pickup for sale.
5-speed manual. MK1

Recent work:
New front suspension
Replaced battery
New radiator & hoses
Replaced speedometer cable
New oil air & fuel filters
New grill

The Good:
Body is in good shape. Only surface rust on the paint.
Fun little cruiser! Gets 45 mpg & cruises right along once you’re up to speed (in true VW fashion)!
Diesel engine
Original seats, carpet, windows, radio.

The Bad:
Gasket leak somewhere that’s spitting oil into air filter. Not a huge deal, but going through air filters quick.
Odometer is broken, mileage is unknown.
Dent in front l means the hood no longer latches. Previous owner gave her racing pins instead.
Idled rough.
Wiring needs to be updated.
No AC in this model.

Heater not working, blower motor needs to be replaced. I have a brand new replacement just haven’t installed it yet. That comes with the truck.

Passenger seat is in perfect shape but the drivers side is tore up.

Dash is cracked under cover.It was a little working ranch truck for 20ish years. I picked it up as a COVID project but ended up having to leave it behind in CA over the winter. It’s registered in IL but I still have the original CA plates.

She’s the perfect candidate for a fun little project car. Ready for an engine swap & a fresh coat of paint!
