Description: For sale is my trusty old VW pick up truck. The chassis just hit 300,000 miles and it has a later model (1987+) 1.6l diesel with hydraulic cam followers (exact engine mileage unknown). I’ve had it cross-country 4 times and it’s been to 48 states. This truck still runs well but is getting a little long in the tooth as evidenced by fuel mileage dropping from a high of near 50mpg to a more recent average near 40mpg.
The body is mostly straight, save for some dents in the LF fender from an unsteady motorbike, and the missing grille that was left in a frisky whitetail deer in eastern Idaho a few years back.
Included is a white camper shell that installs in a few minutes.
Price is mostly firm but I’ll start out by offering up this sweet little Caddy at $2000
For an additional $3500 I can include a complete ALH TDi swap from a 2004 Beetle, 85k miles, includes engine, 6-speed trans, cable shifter, wire harness, dash instruments, etc.
