Truck is fully operational and in very good running condition, no title but do have the notarized bill of sale from 2005 car dealer purchased from.

This is a solid body with factory paint truck in very good condition for a 40 year old truck, great candidate for a full restoration. For the last 17 years it has been my personal truck for use on our 7 acres. Factory AC and put a new compressor on when purchased. Engine rebuilt between 2007 and 2009, he had actually rebuilt 4 or 5 diesel trucks for me so what truck was done when is a little fuzzy. Had a rebuilt injector pump installed earlier this year and my mechanic said compressor for AC needs replacing. I have owned over half a dozen of these trucks for my kids to drive to and from college. My mechanic in Durham worked for Durham VW dealer when these trucks rolled off assemble line.

He has done all the rebuilding and repairs for all my trucks for over 20 years. He moved to Galax VA and at 74 now takes in less work. Tried a local import repair shop claiming to have worked on VW diesels to install rebuilt injector pump, gave up after 2 months and charged me $200 to not fix my truck. Trailered it to Galax and my man had it running in an hour and a half. That is part of why I am selling no one local I trust to maintain. This was the best of all my trucks owned, the highest truck I have sold on EBay was $6,000 and this truck is in better condition and comes with more additional parts than I can list.

Selling with additional truck parts like starters, alternators, radiator fan shroud, 2 injector pumps one has been rebuilt already, complete engine and 5 speed transmission (engine will need to be rebuilt but transmission is good) 4 full instrument clusters, good hood – front bumper and tailgate, seats will need recovering and many more parts. Strut towers, rocker panels and wheel wells no rust.

I see other VW trucks selling with rusted through holes and trashed out cabs for $2,500 and more this truck is solid checkout all the pictures. Will provide additional information upon request. Many states allow for titling old vehicles 25 or 30 years old without title, however, North Carolina is not one of them. I contacted the sellers from 17 years ago and inquired about filing for title owner’s son agreed to look into it but after 17 years not real motivated. Can call or text me direct, [REDACTED].
