The original engine has been replaced with a much newer Turbo Direct Injection engine with intercooler, a 1994 1.9 liter ALH (probably from a New Beetle) It runs great and goes FAST if you want it to! 5 speed manual transmission. Gets over 40 MPG average. Great radio/tape player with big speakers behind the seats. New tires and good looking wheels and paint. Interior in very good condition. I have two VW trucks now and this one has to go. Exempt from SMOG.
