Description: 1981 VW Diesel Rabbit Pickup. This Volkswagen Pickup comes with a camper shell and a set of studded snow tires for the front. This truck has an upgraded 1.6 turbo diesel out of a Jetta. The engine, turbo and the injector pump have been recently overhauled. On the highway the truck gets around 44 mpg. It is rare for these trucks to have air conditioning but this one has a very good air conditioner. This has been my daily driver for 8 years. I have replaced all the rubber items under the hood and most front end wear components. If you are looking for a reliable economical light truck this is the vehicle for you. I have driven it to Portland several times and to McCall regularly. Most of these trucks available are very rough and need extensive work.
