1980 Volkswagen rabbit truck
Tarpon blue / rust
1.6l gas engine
Mileage – any guess would be a guess I have never looked at the odometer it does work.
5 speed manual transmission.
Rust everywhere – had some front end welding done to make it “Safe” to drive – still has holes in strut towers and here and there and every where.
Pulled this out of a barn last year – spent over $2000 getting it road ready – new rear brakes , brake cables , wheel bearings wheel cylinders. Lots of welding on passenger front under carriage.
I took it on 100 mile road trip to pick up a bunch of engines – clutch was a little slipping going up hills – well then back at my shop I decided to use sportruck to push a touareg into the shop and the clutch no worky no more… It will move around but I dont think you can drive it as it is… Alternator voltage regulator is bad – I have a whole bunch of alternators but never fixed it cuz it just sits in back of shop inside.
Great project $2000 firm – ( I am losing money selling it for $2000 )
I found something else to use as a shop truck so tossing this for sale )
