Description: 1980 VW Rabbit Truck. Yellow but faded.
SVO Conversion — runs on veggie oil (Diesel engine, you start and end on diesel. After truck warms up you switch to veggie oil, which is free from restaurant pick up. There is an automatic switch over option.) I recommend knowing about this or have time and energy to learn.
It was running great until it sat for awhile. The main issue is that it needs a new key ignition socket. I think once that is fixed it should start fine. However since it sat for a year it might need a new battery now as well. But before then it was a daily driver.
Don’t know how many miles, odometer broken.
Interior is not in the best shape. There is some body Rust.
The brakes work but could also be worked on.
Besides that it’s fine.
But since it doesn’t start you will want to tow out. I want it gone ASAP.
$1,000 OBO. I bought for $3,000 a year ago. Great deal. These are collectibles. Don’t try and talk me down, I know these trucks.
I’ll also throw in a tool box. I’m selling because I have another truck, need the money, and don’t have the time like I thought I would to take care of it.
