Clean Title
I’ve owned this truck for about four years and it’s been quite a joy to own. It’s relatively zippy and great for a city based daily driver. I bought this truck during my “surf bum” days when I was living in Eugene but spending half my time on the coast. The gas mileage, reliability, and the fact you can load a lot of gear in the back is what drew me to purchase this originally. It’s handled many road trips with ease and always turns a lot of heads. I’ve had all my work done in Eugene by Alex’s Garage who specialize in older European vehicles.
The Volkswagen pickups are pretty rare and this one is in good condition/low mileage for it’s age. One major upgrade I made was adding a MK1 GTI front suspension for a little extra clearance (2-3 inch lift). This improved handling dramatically while allowing it to be handle some light logging roads or get you over the pass. I’m selling because my business requires me to have a bigger truck and I need to make some space in the driveway. Will be sad to see it go but just trying minimalize. $6400 OBO. Not in a hurry to sell just FYI
Work that I have records for being done:
- New axle shafts
- New control arm/ball joint
- New head gasket
- Recent brake fluid flush
Work that has been done:
- Blue Tooth sound system installed
- MK1 GTI front suspension/ blocks on rear leaf springs
- Heater fan replaced
- Passenger window rail replaced
Upgrades that could be made:
- New driver seat as the butt portion is relatively thrashed
- Blinkers are kinda spotty (works 80% of the time perfectly, probably wiring)
- Dent on passenger side could be taken out
- Needs new registration
Yea, there it is. I try to be very transparent when selling a vehicle as I hope the same from others.
This one is awesome and it’s just hit the point where I fixed all the major issues and I can be confident the buyer will be happy with the purchase.
