Description: Hi there! I am selling a classic 1981 vw rabbit pickup “Caddy”.
5 spd, 1.6l diesel
Approx. 180,000 miles (odo is broken but mileage has been tracked)
No rust!
Recent repairs/upgrades include:
New timing belt & tension pulley
Upgraded fuel system – new fuel filter, fuel pump, injector hoses, updated wiring, injectors tightened
New alternator, alternator belt, and wiring
New battery & battery leads
New clutch cable
It has a custom cab (divider was removed by previous owner) w/ built-in storage in the bed and a custom (larger-than-stock) camper shell
Dash is cracked and interior is a bit rugged, but not in terrible condition
No radio but the wiring is all there
Brakes in great condition / tranny and clutch also in good shape
Fantastic gas mileage, averages 45-55mpg, no need to smog in ca!
Runs good, drives straight
