1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup “Caddy” A vehicle so cool, Facebook doesn’t even know it exists.

This VW Caddy runs, drives, and sees daily use. I regrettably have to separate with this project midway to make room for another effort that better suits my needs (a small RV). I have gone through the entire engine, testing, tuning, and replacing about everything you could think of (I’ll include a parts list below). Next up would have been the suspension (which I have a few parts for already) and then the body, but that’s where you come in.

The engine was replaced prior to my ownership, which is great as it is the larger 1.8L GX engine with FN 5-speed transmission. Likely from a mid-80’s Cabriolet. The truck also comes with three sets of wheels! A set is mounted with snow-tires and another with summer tires (both seven years old with much life left in them), the third is mounted but the tires are past being usable.
