1981 Rabbit Pickup unknown miles. 1.7 Gas motor, 5 speed transmission. Old Recaro seats originally blue? Been dyed tan? I know very little about the trucks past… only what I’ve done to it. All 4 new engine/transmission mounts, new tires, new discs/ rotors shoes and drums still in box, new tail lights, new headlights, new shift knob, new shifter bushing kit(not installed), extra steering wheel (GTI), tons of little things (oil, filters, etc)
It has rust. Rust in the rear wheel arches under the fender flares. Like Swiss cheese. The paint job was done pretty badly, it needs cooling system gone through, shifter realigned (grinds 3rd). The radiator fan is on a toggle switch idk why. AC compressor and some stuff is there but does not work I’m pretty sure. Car was from somewhere in middle America, then to VA to GA to FL now TX it’s been around.
Not registered at the moment, tax office told me it needed a safety inspection first even though it’s an antique. Seat belts would need to be fixed.
