Selling my 1981 royal red rabbit caddy pickup. Truck has an ALH turbo diesel motor swap from a 2000 Jetta with approximately 10k on the clutch and timing belt.

Truck is lowered on Solo Werks coilovers in the front and drop plates in the rear. Wheels are 15×7 Borbet A replicas. Rear brakes have been converted to disc. The front bumper is new stainless steel from Small Bumpers.

Interior of the cab has been completely redone. Mk2 golf seats, new carpeting, new door cards, new headliner. (2) 6×9 speakers behind seats with a low-profile subwoofer. Dash has been swapped from a mk1 Cabriolet.

There are still a few items I am working on at the moment – some small wiring issues. The dash lights do not come on when the headlights are turned on and the wiring for the blower motor switch has not yet been adapted to the Cabby dash setup, so the blower motor does not work at present. These should be easily repairable for the next owner if I do not get to them.

The body is straight with a couple small dents on either side. The paint is fading on the roof with a nice patina as expected for a 42 year old VW.

I also have a rear roll pan that I have not yet installed. There is also currently no exhaust system. Only the TT downpipe from the turbo. I have ordered a TT tailpipe that will be getting installed when it arrives in 2-3 weeks.

I also have the original dash and bumpers that I am including with the sale of the truck as I am running out of storage space.
