1981 VW Caddy (Rabbit-based pickup)
Has new paint job ($2,400), cabriolet interior, full tune up, new Weber carb ($350), new motor mounts, etc. Clean title, and because it is titled as a diesel, so smog checks are required. But, it has a newer Brazilian 1.6 L gasoline engine with approximately 24k miles on it, which is very strong. 5 speed stick. Rare sliding rear window. Comes with parts pictured (I took off the cabriolet bumper and front fender flares). New bolted glass vent windows (in the parts picture) were just installed to replace the glued-on vent windows that fall off. It runs great and has a lot of pep. No HVAC or stereo. The steering column makes a vibrating sound that can be fixed with a new bearing set. Otherwise it’s ready for a lowered suspension and some nice rims! I’m in no rush to sell, so no lowball offers please. I’m only looking to recoup the money I have in it.
It’s a third car that I just don’t use or need. No trades.
