The truck starts and runs! A good charge of injector cleaner, fresh battery does wonders!

1981 VW Rabbit Pickup (Caddy) Org a 1.6 diesel, converted to an A2 16V drivetrain. This includes front and rear braking and radiator.

Org a Washington State vehicle, it spent most of its life in New Mexico where I bought it. Other than the patina, it’s rust free. Naturally, this includes the shock towers and underneath – evidenced by the spare tire carrier still intact.

Tires hold air but only about 30% tread.

I stored this Caddy in my garage before an overseas deployment in 2016 with the intent of a full restoration – after nearly 40 years of Service, life just gets away from you and this project has to go.

You get everything pictured accept my Veteran Plate. Also comes with a GTI front bumper, but Rabbit bumper available if desired.

I’ll be spending some time fixing a few things over the next two weeks so it may be running, but prefer to just move on to other projects.
