Description: Selling my cherry 1981 Rabbit Truck or “Caddy.” Very well maintained only 1 or 2 small rust spots. Body straight and recently new clutch everything. Only problem was the tensioner pully failed after getting a new head gasket installed at Bes Auto. So the head needs new valves and to be put back on and timed. Might need a new head if you can’t find the valves. I can provide all information that I have on the engine etc. as I’ve done a lot of research now. It’s been sitting at Bes auto for a while now and I can’t get him to return my calls and I’ve since moved to Maui. So go down to BES Auto in Kailua at 22 Kainehe St. across the KFC and check it out and please call me and let me know how my poor baby is doing. Truck is worth $4500 at least, running. I know where to get a brand new head for $800 or if you can find the valves then it’s a way cheaper fix.
