Description: I’m gauging interest on my 1981 VW Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup Truck. I’m really looking to upgrade to a 4×4 for off road. Really like the Toyota Tacoma. Need down payment.
It’s a 1981 LX with a 1.6 diesel. I’ve put a ton of work into this project but it still is a work in progress.
ENGINE: newly rebuilt 1.6 diesel, 5 speed transmission, new head, new diesel fuel pump, new hoses & belts, new sensors, new water pump, new thermostat, new brake master cylinder, new air filter, I even put a new horn on it. IPAA Dual Bass Horns (Sounds like a big rig)
NEW EXHAUST: Stack Exhaust wrapped in fiberglass exhaust wrap with weather flapper. 2.5″ Pipe
SUSPENSION: Brand new Raceland Coil overs in the front with new strut mounts and bearings, 3″ drop plates in the back.
WHEELS: Wheels are original 13″ wheels (I have original Hub Caps too) and I also have a set of 13″ 4×100 BMW BBS wheels that I will throw in with the sale. New tires up front (Purchased on 5/24/14) Rear wheel have 90% thread left
Brakes: Brand new brake lines (all around) and new brake cylinders for back drums.
Interior: New GRANT Steering Wheel, New carpet, new 5 panel rear view mirror, leather seats (I took out of a 1993 Jaguar, driver side is electric), new pioneer head unit w 3.5″ speakers in dash and 6.5 for doors, new DIY door cards, New Goodyear Floor Mats
Exterior: Plasti-Dipped the whole truck matte camo green. Deep duckbill spoiler new antenna, new H4 projector headlights, New Bosh Wiper Blades, New side view mirrors, new door handles, flat back grill.
I just got a timing belt service done by Autobahn Performance on Buford Highway (Paid almost $900) New timing belt, new A/C belt and new Alternator belt.
