Finally going to do it, after driving it for 20 years. I’m the second owner. Original owner was from Utah and wintered in S. California near me. He died, and I bought the truck. It had been sitting in his garage for 17 years. Lot of work to get it running. It has been a constant project.

Comes with a 25 gallon custom made fuel tank. He filled it in Utah and drove to Palo Verde, Ca. on one tank of diesel The tank will need to be dropped eventually and new felt put on the straps.

The truck was stolen in December and I got it back a week later minus the tailgate & camper shell. I’ve since replaced them.

They put a screw driver in the ignition and I had to replace all that plus rebuild the steering column at the base. New bearings, etc.

I have receipts for most of the work done on the truck for 20 years, but when they stole it, they emptied my glove box and some of the receipts are missing.

I put a new/used transmission in it about 3 years ago. Had 60,000 miles on the used tranny. Also replaced the clutch, water pump, shifting parts, alternator, timing belt, etc.

The original owner had sheep skin covers on the seats since it was new. I kept them on till a couple years ago. After 40 years of washing, they are losing their shape. The sheep skins kept the seats pliable.

Interior is in excellent condition except for the dash and both upper corners. It came that way and I just never got around to tucking the materiel in the corners. Bought a dash cover to hide the dash tears.

Few minor dents, etc. No rust.

I has the original paint finish plus the original blue pin striping. Original am/fm radio.

Everything works except the clock & ac. It has the ac compressor and I bought replacement components for the ac. Air drier, etc but never installed them or got the ac running.

The wing vents are siliconed in. I got tired of the windows falling out. Also when they stole my truck, they busted the passenger side vent. Since replaced. I have the hardware for the wing vents if you want to restore them.

The driver side outside door latch is hard to open. There’s a fix that’s been posted on this site, but I never did it. Just keep them lubricated.

Comes with three spare heads and covers, couple old injector pumps, old alternator & starter. Supposedly the two heads with tags had been rebuilt. Don’t know how long ago. I acquired them in case I needed one. Never did.

The engine is in excellent condition. Plenty of pep. Shifting is a little tight due to new parts.

Has front & rear towing. Wired but needs to be checked out. Tow bar comes with the truck.

I applied truck bed materiel this winter and put a carpet over it.

I hate selling it, but I just turned 81 and can’t do wrenching anymore and its hard to find anyone to work on it.
