I’m selling a rare Rabbit Pickup TD also known as Caddy Pickup TD that between its production time, 1978 to 1984, was not sold in the US. This specific model was only sold in Canada and Europe. It has a 1.6L diesel w/turbo engine. Currently registered and with tags for 2016. Also, it is a California Smog Exempt. Currently running strong after a number of repairs done right before the end of last year, though being a 30 year old truck it would certainly further benefit from more care.

The odometer displays close to 130,000 miles, if I remember correctly, but the engine was rebuilt couple of years ago according to the former owner. Thus, the engine has around 60,000 miles on it. The interior is in fair condition with GTI dash, steering wheel, and shift knob. It also has the centre console from the GTI and Scirocco seats in good shape. All in all, is a great looking and working truck. It is an absolute gas saver. Last time I filled up the tank with diesel it lasted about 6 weeks driving it at least 5 to 6 days of the week. And just couple of days ago I did an oil change. So there it is, if you have been looking for this truck this is your opportunity. I’m asking 6,500 for it and the price is firm. Not in a rush to sell, so please only inquire if you are serious and have cash in hand.
