For sale 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup 1.7 Gasoline (Caddy)

My ‘81 caddy has lived an interesting life so far, and it’s time for it to move onto its next chapter.

I was told the original owner had it in Montana, which is why there’s low miles (83k right now), because he could only drive it a few months out of the year.

I’m the 3rd owner and I’ve had the truck about 4 years.

The good:
-83,000 miles (yes, the odometer works)
-5 speed manual transmission
-no rust on body. Light rust on rear bumper. The truck has been resprayed, but is the original color.
-Other than the respray, and a few maintenance items, the truck is all original.
-interior is excellent minus a tear in the seat and a hole in the carpet behind the passenger seat.

The “bad”:
-the ride is quite bouncy. I have extended top hats, or all the original suspension, which I’ll includes other the truck (pictured)
-the valve cover gasket needs replaced. I have the gasket, just not desire to install it myself.
-small crease in front splitter when it came off the trailer moving to KC. (Pictured)

I have the service paperwork from me and the previous owner, the original owners manual, warranty manual, and wiring diagrams (if you’re into that stuff) (pictured).
