1981 VW Rabbit pickup 1.6 diesel 4 speed.
First off I have tons of parts to include to the right buyer who wants to get this truck sorted back out. Yes it has rust in various places all the way around, that’s why the price is so cheap. I build a ton of these truck and this one can be saved for sure with a bit of welding and paint.
Head was taken off the motor in 2017 for inspection, still have paperwork. Motor in the truck has 230,000 miles but has no ring ridge at the top so I am thinking they had the bottom end worked on and never finished the job. I will include a 1.6 complete diesel motor, also high miles. It needs a rebuild but it was running in a previous customers truck. Has massive oil blow by so it needs rings.
I have fenders and misc other parts if you just want to bolt on good panel and not do the rust repair. I have more knowledge about these rabbits than anyone in Denver so please don’t waste my time. The price is cheap so it’s a good starter project if it’s your first diesel. The title is in the mail I should have it in about 2 weeks. Price is very firm.
